Wait for it… baby rescuers?!

Yes, you read that right. As American cities plunge into violence and illegal aliens stream across the border, the federal government’s criminal justice priority is locking up a handful of citizens who tried to keep babies from being murdered.

In 2021, police arrested six individuals holding a protest outside a Mt. Juliet, Tennessee abortion center. According to defense attorneys, “this was a peaceful demonstration by entirely peaceable citizens—filled with prayer, hymn-singing, and worship—oriented toward persuading expecting mothers not to abort their babies.” 

But federal prosecutors filed “felony conspiracy against rights and a Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act (FACE Act) offense” charges against the group. Each conviction could result in sentences of over 10 years in prison.

If you’re not familiar with the FACE Act, it’s a Clinton-era law written by Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D–NY) that gives the federal government the power to prosecute people who physically obstruct access to abortion clinics. It’s the same law the feds used last year to convict five pro-life activists for a 2020 protest of a Washington, D.C. abortion clinic. But one little-known provision of the FACE Act is that it also prohibits interference with the exercise of religious freedom and physical damage to places of worship and reproductive health facilities.

So, this newly tough-on-crime White House must be using this law to also go after the Antifa vandals who fire-bombed and vandalized pro-life abortion clinics in a wave of violence, right? Not… exactly. It took intense oversight pressure from Congress to force the FBI to start investigating “pro-abortion terrorism” attacks against pregnancy resource centers. Eventually, the FBI was forced to admit that 70 percent of FACE Act assessments since the Dobbs decision in 2022 targeted religious institutions and pro-life facilities.

Unfortunately, using the criminal justice system as a weapon for punishing political opponents rather than keeping Americans safe is par for the course for this administration. The FBI showed up with a tactical SWAT team in the early morning hours to arrest pro-life activist Houck who was later acquitted of FACE Act charges, and it seems like anyone who looked the wrong way on January 6 has been jailed.

But Biden’s buddies are free to wreak havoc on America’s streets. The White House announced its plan to stop Liquid Natural Gas exports—one of the cleanest sources of energy available—while bragging about getting support from Climate Defiance, a radical environmental group that shuts down streets in the hopes of “making life MISERABLE for every person in power.” When was the last time you saw any left-wing radicals arrested for obstructing a federal highway?

Of course, that’s how the left operates. The media tells you Occupy, Antifa, and Black Lives Matter riots are just “peaceful protests,” but the Tea Party and pro-life activists… those are the real troublemakers.
