No family in America is safe from the global warming fanatics

First they came for your gas stoves, then they came for your cars, and now they’re coming for your small business. 

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) plans to release a new ruling on environmental emission disclosures that will likely create standards for publicly traded companies to report the amount of greenhouse gas they generate. They’ve been working on it for two years, so you can expect it’ll be a doozy.

Fortunately, new reports indicate that the SEC has pared back one of the most controversial parts of the proposed ruling: Scope 3. This measure would have required companies to also collect and report on emissions data from their entire supply chain, which—you guessed it—includes a lot of small businesses and farms. 

It’s not like Average Joe owners have anything better to do than report on cow farts, right? 

The SEC’s decision to not implement Scope 3 is good for everyone except the climate crazies. Unfortunately, it’s the result of political pressure, not a recognition that climate change alarmism is based on questionable science and unquestionably bad policy. 

Which means that next time, America’s small businesses might not skate by. That’s because climate crazies have infiltrated the highest levels of the federal government, and they don’t care how much their agenda hurts you.

Remember when gas stoves were suddenly the worst thing ever? Leftists like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez were up in arms about the way Average Joe and Jill cook dinner for their family. Then there was Biden-appointed Commissioner of the Consumer Product Safety Commission Richard Trumka Jr., saying, “Any option is on the table. Products that can’t be made safe can be banned.”

AOC and Trumka would have you believe this was all about “health” or “for the children,” but the vilification of gas stoves all points back to a faulty 2022 study by environmental activist researcher Eric Lebel who has ties to anti-fracking organizations. This means that while lunatics like AOC get all the attention, they’re not the ones to worry about. Instead, it’s little-noticed Biden appointees like Trumka—the former head of the AFL-CIO, closely aligned with Democrats—who jump at the chance to use the power of their bureaucracies to ban a struggling family’s affordable and effective kitchen appliances. 

Gas stoves are just the start. In 2023, the EPA announced new emissions standards that would require half the new vehicles sold in America be electric by 2030. So when Average Joe needs a new car next decade, he’ll have to fork out nearly $50,000 more over the lifetime of his new vehicle compared to one powered by gasoline. 

But none of that matters to “Big Guy” Joe Biden and his cronies in Washington. In fact, if you’re an Average Joe reading this, you’re already doing something the Biden Administration doesn’t like. And you probably do other things the Big Guy doesn’t like, such as go to church, shoot a gun, and understand the difference between a man and a woman.
